Situated just 3kms from the Pauanui turnoff off SH 25 in the Hikuai Valley perched on our sheltered private peak with commanding views of ‘The Pinnacles’ & ranges. Just thirteen k's from Pauanui & Tairua with Hot Water Bch, Cathedral Cove, Whitianga & Whangamata all within a forty minute drive.

Use our property as your base for your stay on the peninsula, there are many outstanding attractions within close proximity. While at our property you can explore our bush walks & find your way to the chooks –no rooster- Peacocks,river & ancient Kauri,Rimu & Nikau. Or just laze around the lovely gardens & aviaries & take in the views.

Bring your fly or spinning rod test your skills on the Brown & Rainbow Trout in some secret virtually unfished waters while you’re here. We have two friendly dogs so reasonably behaved dogs are welcome.

We derive our name from the local legend there are five sleeping giants in the Coromandel ranges, our sleeping giant is known as ‘The Pinnacles’ one of NZs most popular walks which can be accessed from the ‘Kauaranga Valley’near Thames. On the night the amazing sunset photo was taken it was suggested that our sleeping giant is waking up.
